Airport rules

KHTO is the destination — but it has rules.

East Hampton's 4,255-foot runway, summer weekend curfews, and slot limits shape every Hamptons charter. We file around them and keep alternates warm.

FAQ

Hamptons charter questions, answered.

Jet or helicopter for two people?
For two passengers on the Manhattan-to-East-Hampton route, a helicopter is often the most efficient door-to-door option — you can depart a Manhattan helipad and skip the airport entirely. If you are already at KTEB or KHPN, or traveling with significant luggage and pets, a turboprop (King Air) or light jet (Citation M2 / Phenom 100) becomes the better value.
What are KHTO's weekend restrictions?
East Hampton (KHTO) has a 4,255-foot runway, weekend noise and curfew rules, and slot limitations that bite hardest on peak summer Fridays. We typically file early-morning or late-afternoon windows, and we keep KFOK (Brookhaven) and KMTP (Montauk) warm as alternates when KHTO slots are full.
Is Montauk (KMTP) an option?
Yes. Montauk (KMTP) is a valid alternate further east, with a 3,600-foot runway suitable for turboprops and very light jets. It is ideal when your final destination is the eastern tip of the South Fork and KHTO slots are unavailable or curfew-blocked.
How much lead time do you need for a Friday rush charter?
Friday summer afternoons are the single highest-demand window of the charter year. We recommend booking 48–72 hours ahead. Same-day can be arranged, but aircraft and KHTO slots are scarce. We return 3-option quotes — jet, turboprop, helicopter — within minutes of your request.
Are cars arranged on arrival?
Yes. We coordinate ground transfers from KHTO, KFOK, or KMTP to your East Hampton, Amagansett, or Montauk residence — typically a chauffeured SUV arranged through our concierge desk. For helicopter arrivals, we connect directly to the FBO or private pad.
